About me

My name is Xanthe and I'm a fashion blogger in the virtual world of Second Life. I started this blog on 10th May 2013 and have since been posting free, cheap and affordable outfits on a daily basis, because I believe that quality fashion shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg!
This tumblr is a side blog to my main Wordpress blog where I like to be a little more social.

Harmony convinced me to buy the Loud mouth mesh mouth and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
The default avatar mesh has many things that could be improved (please don’t get me started on the feet…) and I’ve always found that the lips looked shapeless. Like two dollops of clay on a model. The loud mouth lips eliminate the shapelessness of the default mesh and make it look…. quite realistic! Especially in profile!
The HUD is a little bit tricky to master, but this is only temporary for me as Essences will be coming out with appliers for the loud mouth very soon. If you go to the loud mouth mainstore, there’s a wall full of all the designers that currently make appliers for the mouth!
I disklike the teeth that come in the pack, they just look a little bit strange to me. But since the alpha removes the default avatar teeth it’s easy enough to just use your own teeth attachments that you already own. You don’t need to fork out for the extra teeth add-ons in my opinion but if you don’t trust your modding abilities then play it safe and buy the add ons as they’re specifically made for the mouth.
Loud mouth will be coming out with different mouth shapes in future and currently the Alli mouth is the only one available. The closed-mouth option is about 200L$ cheaper than the parted lips.
So in my opinion I think it would be better to wait for a wider variety of lip shapes before investing in these unless you’re absolutely sure these are the ones you like. I’ll admit it’s a big difference from my usual lip shape but I do think having these will make photos look a lot more realistic!
+ Realistic shape and look
+ Improves the look of the default avatar without buying an entire mesh head.
+ Popular skin makers such as Essences, The sugar garden and Aemeth have appliers available for the lips.
- Hud is a little complicated and it’s difficult to get a match without appliers.
- Teeth look unrealistic
- Expensive! (More than a pair of slink hands!!)
EDIT: It’s likely that I’ll mod these in future to better match my signature look but I wanted to show you all what they look like fresh out of the box.
